The world has changed a lot recently. It used to be that the only way to spend time with someone was to be face-to-face, and the only excuse to do was to dine together. But that’s not the case anymore. Now we have smart phones, video conferences, and digital events. Now we have remote workers and travel restrictions. It has become at the same time easier to connect, but more difficult to connect properly.

When you see ordinary people giving their best effort, then your leadership efforts are working. Their performance indicates that you are doing something right.
Does a smile work? Does it accomplish anything practical for leaders? Or is it just a simple pleasantry that can afford to be neglected?
Compliments are powerful. They make us more likable, more influential, and more successful. They are so powerful that they work even when they shouldn't.
